Wild at Heart!

So. I have come to the conclusion that I defiantly do am getting old...
Instead of a boozy Wednesday night on the town debaucherous behaviour... I’m eating pasta drinking wine and having intellectual conversations...not to complain but Wednesdays were meant to be ...well, WILD!
Bring back tequila shots mid week hangovers followed by 4 days nonstop partying, flirtatious strangers and creative sleeping arrangements... Oh to be young again!
So tonights inspired blog post is inspired by doing what your not supposed to and giving in to the wild at heart<3

BAM! It may be possible that i am more excited about seeing her perform at park life then then I am about my own birthday?!!...

Blink and you might miss it

Soo Ive been a little bit slack in posting due to this being one of the craziest past weeks of my life...

I had the set up of a new house and spent most of yesterday in freezing water shivering my ass off for a photo shoot  (pictures to come)... so I thought I would share a little love for some amazing work  by New York City-based fashion photographer Jamie Beck and visual designer Kevin Burg.

Apparently they are called cinemagraphs and create subtle  movement with in a still image...pretty freakin cool if you ask me !!

My wall is a canvas..

The names Boot.. Re-boot,
and instead of shaking martinis hes shaking out stenciled spray painted masterpieces with a stealth that even the ever so suave Mr Bond would have a hard time matching.

I recently moved out of the parental trap and into a sa-weet loft apartment.
Among many discoveries....(In no particular order)the new bar on the corner, the best cafe in town, the crazy lady across the road, and the best two housemates I could ever ask for!!.... I discovered a web of street art that winds its way through my new hood adding visual inspiration to the unstimulating walls of an otherwise colourful neighborbood.

Keep an eye out on the streets of Perth for this dudes mad skills!

His gallery is the streets we walk through, his canvas is the blank walls we neglect.

Home sweet home...

Its always interesting having conversations with new people and revealing that:

(A.) my home town was a dusty dirt bowl of harsh sun and deathly cold nights, and
( B.) I was in fact born in The Namib Deserts of South West Africa.

The response however is always the same..."so did you like live in a hut and hunt lions??" to which I have the joy of answering with something far-fetched or the truth.... ..

I lived in a house in a town with a small grassed backyard a swing. Everything is almost as normal as any other town only difference is I had miles and miles of  sandy dunes and stretches of ocean out the front door and the occasional leopard (although this was years ago.)

To anyone who knows of, or has lived here understands how unforgiving the desert can be, yet appreciate the inexplainable beauty of its rolling dunes coloured sands and wild oceans.

Tonight I find myself somewhat homesick discovering these beautiful pics from Tim Walker in his British Vogue editorial.

Featuring the stunning AGGY, he captures not only my home, but my heart....

Also check out location pictures shot by photographer Álvaro Sánchez-Montañés who stumbled across Kolmanskop, a now ghost town in southern Namibia that had once been a rich mining village. TRULY AMAZING!!
